Hi. My name is Tom, and I bring you books I have loved all my life.

I have grown up reading these fun, beautiful, wise books; and have spent most of my life telling my American friends about them. And they have always asked: "When will you translate these books so that we can read them, too?"

 

And finally, I took early retirement to do just that. And here they are: these absolute gems who, due to the lingering effects of Soviet cultural policies, have remained unavailable in the West for way too long.

To translate, edit, illustrate, and publish these books has been  a labor of love for me. I think of myself not so much as their publisher but as a curator of a gallery of great works of art and of  you as my visitor.
